Tonight's SPECIAL GUEST is James P. Krehbiel, Ed.S., LPC, CCBT, author, freelance writer, licensed professional counselor, and nationally certified cognitive-behavioral therapist practicing in Scottsdale, Arizona. James' new book is "Troubled Childhood, Triumphant Life." When he set out to write it he knew first-hand how troubling a difficult childhood can be for an adult. His message to adults? "It's not your fault but it is your responsibility to move on." Another key message from the book is for those who dealt with difficult childhoods is it's not about blame and understanding that parents (most of the time) do the best that they could but it just wasn't enough. Krehbiel did his post-graduate counseling training at Northern Illinois University and has taught Master's level classes in counselor education through Chapman University of California. He specializes in working with patients who have depressive, anxiety, pain management (i.e. tinnitus, fybromyalgia) and high functioning autistic spectrum disorders. James has written numerous articles on a variety of counseling-related topics, all accessible via Google searches.
