Tonight's SPECIAL GUEST is Larry Holmes, former Heavy Weight Boxing Champion of the World. A resident of Easton, PA, Mr Holmes ranks among the most successful athletes of the 20th Century. He held on to the title for over 7 years between 1978 to 1985 with 48 straight professional wins and 20 consecutive title fights, securing him a place in boxing history along side the great boxing legends Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis. Larry Holmes has proved that hard work and discipline will guide you towards your life goals and monetary security. The "Champ" was born in Cuthbert, Georgia and moved a few years later to Easton, Pennsylvania. Larry's life ambitions at the time were to be able to survive poverty and help out his family which included nine brothers and three sisters. Larry dropped out of school at 7th grade to be able to financially help his mom and siblings. Mr Holmes has transferred his boxing abilities in the ring to his entrepreneurial skills outside the boxing arena, and regularly gives back to the community in a variety of ventures, as he travels throughout the world as a Celebrity Speaker and Motivational Boxing Icon for youth and troubled adults.
