4realpoetess Antoinette Denise Johnson was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois in 1964 by two loving parents, along with one older sister. She is a God gifted poet. Never having any formal training in poetic verse, prose, or literary arts, writing was simply something that she did every day in her diary, since age eight. Having made many mistakes in her life, she learned many lessons, but one of the most precious lessons she has learned is that she never deserved to be victimized, and no one does! Because Antoinette had been a victim for so long, in her mind, she began to believe it, and that is what she attracted more of in her life. In 2003, she began her recovery, and I grew tired of feeling like a victim! She became more engrossed in her life's passion of poetry. Antoinette gained the courage to share her poetry on the internet, entering her first poetry contest at SoulAsylumPoetry.com in 2007.She was blessed and honored to win the Grand Prize, a publishing contract for her emotionally powerful poetic testimony, "LOVE YOU TO DEATH!"In this poem she shares with you her journey, her last incidence of domestic violence which occurred on July 1, 1999.Antoinette has become victorious, because she now recognizes and has begun to embrace her self-worth.She courageously shares her stories with others hoping to encourage, enlighten, and empower others from her past mistakes. She writes: "I never dreamed that I would write a book about my life in poetry! God had other plans! My life-long dream has finally come true and my purpose defined." "VICTIM! VICTORIOUS!"
