Special guest Yukon musician Sarah MacDougall is an alt.country/indie folk singer-songwriter who’s generating lots of attention. She received 4-star reviews in Q magazine and The Irish Times for her latest CD, Across the Atlantic. Herizon magazine described the album as having “…a heart that beats strongly– unique in this day of over-produced music for the masses.” You may recognize the intro song for My Yukon Life. It’s from Ballad of Sherri, Sarah’ song about moving on which could well mirror her own life. She recently relocated to the Yukon after a long stint in Vancouver, BC. Sarah’s music has been featured on the airwaves of the CBC (including Vinyl Café) and the BBC (including Bob Harris) as well as Lufthansa airlines. She’s played everything from coffee shops to theatres to festivals in Canada and the UK. And now she joins us tonight on My Yukon Life. Phone the hotline at 323-843-6093 to talk with Sarah on-air.
