I was able to log on and catch a show tonight and I decided to check eadymedia. It was a really good show that allowed people to share there thoughts about Pimp C.  It's funny how close you can feel to someone that you've never met.  As I listened to the show, I began to remember the first song that I myself heard from UGK "Pocket Full of Stones" and the lasting impression that it had on me.  Even though I was a young girl and really didn't understand what the song was about, I couldn't stop repeating the hook and in a short amount of time could recite every last word.  I'm not saying that was my introduction to rap, but it was on the most memoriable.  I can remember exactly where I was, what I was doing and who I was with.  That was well over a decade ago.  As I listened tonight I heard others that shared my sentiment about Pimp C and that particular song.  I was listening to the radio shortly after the news of his passing was released and the DJ identified him by playing "Big Pimpin", now don't get me wrong I love that song, but to me his legacy was "Pocket Full of Stones".  I said all of that to say this, thanks to all of you that called in to eadymedia tonight for sharing your sentiments about a person that we all felt like we knew even though we've never met him and recogzing a song that truly made a lasting mark on music.  Thanks eadymedia that topic was necessary as well as informative. I'll look for you next week.
