Our sixth program, Wasted Energy, is in the can and ready for your listening pleasure. The first 30 minutes is a comprehensive look at the candidates' energy policies (hey, the great thing about I-net radio is we don't have to speak in sound bites)! We broke it down into various categories, with three points to Obama and one to McCain. Suffice it to say, Obama has a much better long-term strategy, but McCain does what he always does -- focuses on the short term.We then moved onto a light-hearted look at John McCain's own celebrity status, from The Daily Show to The Tony Danza Show. He did The Tony Danza Show? How desperate is he to be famous?!! It finished with the satirical The Making of a President clip. From there, it was a too-short look at the new style of American government, a topic we will explore in greater depths in coming episodes. But the big news -- I unveiled a new political term -- constituentocracy. In news, we hit upon a poll that says most New Yorkers are more worried about paying for food than gas, a poll that could easily cover much of the country. And then we studied the recent drop in the U.S. trade deficit. Good news based on bad ideas.George W. Bush found himself on Blonde Moment in Politics, and Hillary Clinton and Ron Suskind were added to our Honor Roll, while Rudra Sabaratnam and Estill Mitts, plus the Homeland Security Department, landed on the Dishonor Roll. Listen in to find out why! Thanks for chekcing us out at BlogTalkRadio! John Briggs
