Mystic Moon Cafe Radio with Seth Michael and Wendy. The show that explores the unknown in such a way as to help you deal with your own awakenings.

On tonight's episode, we have Special Guest Karen Vance Hammond.

Adopted at birth, Karen was born with an ear disfigurement and learning disability. She is Dyslexic, but was inadequately diagnosed as borderline mildly retarded. In the fourth grade, Karen went thru 3 surgeries to correct her disfigurement. Tenacious, Karen continued to fight the battle and eventually learned to read, write, and do simple mathematics.   Resilience combined with will power, Karen pressed to go to college. After extensive testing, she was accepted into the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas and The Jones Learning Center. Given the tools, and direction, Karen graduated with a double major in psychology and sociology.  In addition, she was the first Jones Learning Center student to be crowned Miss University of the Ozarks and went on to the Miss Arkansas Pageant where she was one of the top ten in the talent competition. She was a soprano for the Shreveport Opera for several seasons.  She speaks to public and private school students, universities and colleges. She encourages others who have learning disabilities or alternative learning styles to never, ever quit.  Not allowing her disability to hamper her love for the written word, Karen began writing and completed her first novel.

Shoe Marks

When Maggie Horton was murdered by her husband, she left her shoe marks, along with a broken heart. But there's one more thing she left behind... unfinished business.
A small Texas town, an old farmhouse, and violent murders create the perfect ghost setting. Though fiction, the book is inspired by true events and intriguing characters move the reader through this disquieting ghost tale.
