    Chakras

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘wheel’.  It has been used to name the energy centers in and around our bodies.  Unbalanced chakras reflect a disharmony in the body and is evident by mental, physical and emotional or spiritual ailments.  There is massive information on the Web about chakras.  You will find many teachings and view points.  One thing that most chakra information agrees to is the importance of balanced, aligned chakras for optimal health.
Although there are many chakras within us, the 7 central chakras that run vertical aligned with the spine are known as the major chakras and most commonly spoken of.  Another important chakra that should be included in any chakra work is the ‘sun’ chakra that resides just above your crown chakra, on your aura rather than in you.  And 4 more, one on each hand and foot, should be paid attention to as well.
You will find various ways to work with your chakras.  Wearing or surrounding yourself with the corresponding color, eating certain foods or working with the proper stones are all easy ways to activate or open a chakra.  Meditation and mudras (a hand gesture or position) are also wonderful techniques you may wish to try.

to be finished at a later date ..... sorry
