This is a radio show that will provide updates and info about the closing of Peninsula. We have been updates from various sources and will be discussing them on the radio show. We were provided with a letter that was sent from Senator Malcolm Smith's office to the NYS Attorney General's office, Inspector General's office, and the Commissioner of the Department of Health calling for a formal investigation of the closing of Peninsula hospital. We are receiving more updates on these developments.

NEW YORK STATE OFFICIALS HOLD NEWS CONFERENCE TOMORROW TO INVESTIGATE CLOSING OF HOSPITAL THAT'S LEAVING RESIDENTS WITHOUT PROPER HEALTH CARE
 
OUTRAGED LOCAL RESIDENTS RALLY AND CALL FOR INVESTIGATION OVER CLOSING OF HOSPITAL IN MANHATTAN
 
New York State Senator Malcolm A. Smith and City Officials will join outraged community, civic and local residents in a rally and press conference tomorrow Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 12noon in Manhattan announcing an investigation by New York State into the closing of Peninsula Hospital. The Queens based hospital is closing this week leaving local residents without proper health care. Due to economic conditions many hospitals in the region have been forced to close leaving the safety, health and well -being of those in need at risk for emergency care.
