In the fifth installment of the Charismatic Universalist Church's popular How to Pray series, award-winning preacher, lecturer, and theologian, the Rev. Bishop Kristina Rake, explains contemplative prayer.

Contemplation is a vital part of the prayers of EVERY religion around the world. It comes to us from the most ancient religious impulses from ancient times. Before anyone had a conception of what God is, they tried to connect with Him. That attempt is the very essence of contemplation. Next week, we will address contemplation in action, which is meditation.

Other topics in this episode: ecstacy, visualization, repetitive prayer, Hinduism, Buddhism., mystical Christianity, Kabbalah.
