Today, I started down a path to improve my life tremendously. I went to the gym and actually worked out. I'm excited because I feel great. Those of you who do not know, I moved to Atlanta in 2006 for ministry. Since that day, I have poured my life into promoting and empowering the lives of others through Godly principles. My ministerial committments, in addition to my coaching, writing, and other entreprenuerial efforts rarely leaves me any time for myself. As a direct result of not sleeping much and not eating right, I gained nearly 60 unwanted pounds.

So when I walked into the gym, I was on a serious mission. Today was just the first day, but I have this great feeling of accomplishment. I really feel confident that I'll reach my goal of getting back down to a muscular and masculine 225 lbs! There are three steps that I'm taking that I am sure will assure success.

The first thing is that I have come into covenant with God for this mission. The Bible tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and all "these" things will be added unto us. "These" things are the desires of our heart. It is my desire to be and maintain a very muscular, lean, and fluid-looking 225 lbs. I know that God has provided ways for me to accomplish my goal. A friend donated a gym membership to me and I am making conscious choices to eat better. I am also learning how to properly harness my schedule so that I get adequate rest.

The second thing is that I truly desire change in this area of my life.I saw an old picture of myself in 2006 and then I saw one of myself from less than a month ago. I was very disappointed in myself, but I quickly got my sights on what I truly wanted to look like. I found pictures and videos of people who had a similar body type so that I would have a visual of where I am headed. I quickly got my mind prepared for the journey that I was about to go on to the accomplishment of this goal. I reviewed my personal mission statement, which is geared to keep me motivated to be successful, spoke it out loud to myself. Now, I feel tuned to the station of success.

The third and final thing is that I am acting on my desire by doing things that would cause it to come to pass. Now, it is just a situation where I must stay locked on the mission. Here's my game plan. try it out for yourself and see what happens...I think you'll find it helpful!

Don't Ever Give Up, Don't Ever Quit On Your Dreams,
