Stephanie Cowell's latest novel, Claude & Camille, has been hailed as "nothing short of masterful" by the Boston Globe in its fictional account of the painter Claude Monet's life and his love affair with the lovely and enigmatic Camille. Praise for the novel has also come from the New York Times, Publishers' Weekly, People Magazine, the Romantic Times, and many, many others.
Cowell's other books include Marrying Mozart, Nicholas Cooke, The Physician of London, and The Players: A Novel of the Young Shakespeare. Born into a family of artists, she's also a trained opera singer.
Cowell currently lives in New York City with her husband. They have two sons.
