We're geeking out on old houses, DIY family life, paint innovations, and project trends at the National Hardware Show.

Mark and Theresa have a soft spot for other couples who love renovating old homes, and they might just have fallen hard for Andy and Candis Meredith at the National Hardware Show.

On this episode of MyFixitUpLife talk show, hosts Mark and Theresa are checking in with long-time DIY family friend Dan Cary, who is now part of the Woodworker's Journal family. They talk tools, staining, painting, and silly voices, because at the end of the day we're all just making home a happier place for our families.

New guest on the show Justin DiPego from DoItYourself.com talks trebuchets and DIY trends. Mark and Justin spent a weekend with a pile of other DIY experts at the Craftsman Makecation making awesome projects.

Mark Marotto from Shur-Line shares a few innovations including their paint and primer paint brushes, the staining pad that reaches between the deck boards for maximum coverage, and the paint roller quick release that makes the chore of removing a wet paint roll from a frame so much cleaner and easier.

Andy and Candis Meredith, new hosts of a soon-to-be-released HGTV show. They specialize in restoring old homes while raising seven boys inside their DIY family life. Based in Utah, the couple has created a business called Old Home Love which combines their passion for old homes with their incredible ability to renovate these historic properties.
