Tessa was a busy Mom, carpooling the kids, getting lunches packed, making playdates. She loved her family, she loved her children, she loved being a Mom but . . .
She wanted to do something with her creativity and began writing wonderful short stories, many based in England, where she lived as a child. The stories gave her a quick, structured, escape from the busy, hectic, demanding life as a Mother. Soon she had a series of stories, with wonderful characters women could relate to - in settings away from her dirty dishes, laundry and runny noses.
Tessa wanted to share her writing with others, needing a quick, 10 minutes break.
She saw a trend in how publishing and technology are colliding with the popularity of iPhones, iPads, Androids and Kindles.
Tessa founded eChook Digital Publishing's short story apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Kindle. She designed an App and created a world for other people to read her short story collection: LONDON ROAD.
Then she noticed everyone is posting their business and information on Facebook and other social media –– biographies. She asked writer friends to help create 10 minute Memoirs – which they did and that created eChook’s next app, Memoir Volume 1 just released this year.
Realizing she could not be the only hardworking person out there with little time but inspired to write – she now has an on-going call for submissions: work on her websitehttp://echook.com/category/blog/submissions/
