    NuHemp.com – This week’s product is the Botanical shampoo for Odor.  Good for skunk problem but since Butch didn’t have skunk trouble I can’t say how good it would work for removing the smell. Although I did have a funny skunk episode which I wrote about in the book, I wasn’t about to let Butch go “looking for trouble” just to see if this shampoo works! If it is anything like their other products, I’m sure it would do a pretty good job!

    Biography

    Dr. Patrick Mahaney is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after pet health experts in Los Angeles.

    Show #6 My Buddy Butch - Tribute to 9/11 - Central Ohio K-9 Search and Rescue

    Tribute to 9/11 - I don't think anyone will forget this day as long as we live. It is right up there with Pearl Harbor so I couldn't let it pass without recognizing the meaning and the loss of so many Americans. Joe Procario a Vietnam vet joined me as guest co-host today during my interview with Rick Smith, head of Central Ohio K-9 Search and Rescue. We talked about some of the work that Ron Cassady, one of the handlers, does and how they go about a search. We discussed the use of the dogs for search, water dogs, cadaver dogs, the breeds used for this type of work and a little about the differences between them. Also I wanted to mention the recent loss of a dear friend of thiers, Marty M. Martin. He was a very young 35 years old and from what Rick said about him, it was a great loss to the community as well as his family and friends. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the family and friends. You can sign the guestbook for Marty M.     A couple of great products this week from NuHemp.com.
    A great shampoo that I used on Butch this week after one of his bouts with his big ball. Take a look at this picture link from our weekly blog! Great Shampoo called NuHump Botanicals - Omega Eazz good lather, one shampooing and he was clean again! Butch (and I) recommend this! Also, added one additional product today and that was the Pawzitive Therapy protective balm. OUTSTANDING PRODUCT!!! Now I did not get to use this on Butch and really did not want to because Butch has built up good callous on his pads from running across the rough cement driveway all summer. I did not want to use it because his paws do not bother him and he has no problems but his poor mom Buttons has been having a very bad summer with what My Dad and I think is an allergy. She was not moving around much or playing and licking her feet raw. Dad washed them daily and there was no improvement. I gave him this balm to use and it worked in 24hours!. She was playing and running again and did not lick her paws once! Great product!

    I'm not sure how, when, where, or by whom the rumor was started that we are affiliated with PETA but let me clear it up right now. Are you kidding me!?! We have never been, nor are we now, associated in any way, with the PETA organization. 
    Look...we are trying to do a fun, family oriented show about pets and animals, no politics, no alterier motives, no backward masked subliminal messages to brainwash anyone. If you have any illusions of this, pick up my book "My Buddy Butch-Confessions of a New Dog Dad" and I think you will get the idea and my attitude about what I am doing here with this show!
    We want to introduce new, healthy, tested products by Butch and I that people may not know about otherwise, and give a good honest review of our experience with them. We have many great companies lined up so we can do this for you. We want to bring to your attention to newly released books and music about pets and animals from great authors and artists. We are trying to convey interesting information with discussions on many topics with a wide assortment of guests, and keep the subject matter acceptable for the whole family. We will entertain everyone's opinion on anything to do with pets and animals as long as you keep it clean, nonpolitical, nonpreachy, and in good taste.     Show #5 Interview with Author/Artist Freddie Levin

    We had a very nice discussion with Freddie Levin Author, Artist, Illustrator of 11 of the 123 Draw series books with the latest being 123 Draw Dogs.

    Freddie has sold over 1.5 million books around the world and her work has been translated into many languages. A great step by step guide to have around for the kids on a rainy day. Freddie goes from the simplest lines to the final filled in form of the dog. Joe is absolutely no artist as he freely admits and as a matter of fact he actively avoided any type of drawing his whole life because he did not think he could ever do it. Take a look at what he did during our interview!
