Bridging the Racial Divide stands in sharp contrast to the legacy of Dr. King, a man who has become the symbol of America’s moral conscience and Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos who became the leading voices of Puerto Rican independence and liberation. Utilizing such diverse indicators as income, wealth, homeownership, poverty, unemployment, and infant mortality, the League of Black & Latino Voters will look at the gap between the legacy of Dr. King/Latino Struggles and the America of 21st Century through direct open discussions and Socio-Political Action.
