Alison Rogers is a columnist for  LearnVest.com and a real estate agent. Her breezy memoir of her first year in real estate, Diary of a Real Estate Rookie, was published in 2007 and now in its second printing. She is currently a Manhattan-based real estate agent at the boutique firm of DG Neary Realty.

Rogers specializes in a Hollywood clientele and the Manhattan neighborhoods of Chelsea, Manhattan, Greenwich Village, and the Upper West Side. Careful to protect her clients' privacy, she refers to the television actor in Diary of a Real Estate Rookie as Bogie and his girlfriend as Bacall.

Alison is also a former editor of the New York Post Home section, where she founded the Saturday real-estate section of the paper. She wrote a weekly column “Diary of a Real Estate Rookie” for Inman News, where she covered her career, “flipping” her own properties. Rogers has also written for The New York Times, The New York Post, Fortune Magazine, Money Magazine, and Salon.com. She has also given speeches on real-estate at conferences such as the Brooklyn Real Estate Expo, the Learning Annex Real Estate Wealth Expo, and the Harlem Home Fair.
