Toni Byrd was born in Memphis, TN, and moved to Atlanta, GA, in 2000.  She established herself as one of Atlanta’s unforgettable and versatile vocal artists. Nominated by Black Women in Jazz for Best Black Female Jazz Singer and for Best Black Jazz Record for "Autumn in New York", this singer/songwriter draws fans locally and worldwide with her smooth vocals.  In 2011, Byrd was cast in the leading role in Ida Belle, and in the movie, Lawless, starring, Shia LaBeouf. Byrd has performed with the Peachtree Jazz Edition big band, since 2003. She's performed at Atlanta’s most coveted venues, including the Fox Theater and Rialto Theater. Byrd opened for Kenny G, Take 6, Wycliffe Gordon, and Gladys Knight and performed at after parties for Norman Brown, Eric Darius, Pieces of a Dream, Richard Elliot, George Benson, and Boney James. Her first recording was live, in Memphis, produced by Stax Records songwriter and National Songwriter's Hall of Famer, David Porter. In 2010, she co-produced, arranged, and recorded her CD No Greater Love, Remembering Billie Holiday.  She recorded background vocals for a TV series pilot, Still The King, starring Billy Ray Cyrus. Byrd performs regularly at The Georgia Shrimp Company in Peachtree City, GA, and at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint in downtown Atlanta.
