Celeste Ray began her musical studies at six, influenced by her parents, who played classical piano and guitar.  Celeste was captivated by the piano. Her repertoire of ranges from Irish dance tunes to original compositions with Celtic influences.  Celeste performs on the double-bowed Psaltery, bringing the beauty and unique tones of that instrument to the public, through workshops that are unmatched in the Celtic scene.  Her first CD featured Alex Acuna from Weather Report and Joni Mitchell’s band; and the second featured Steve Kujala and Paul McCandless and received international distribution and acclaim with the Access Label in San Francisco.  The founder of Four Celtic Voices, Celeste and her co-musicians performed on QVC-TV for 4-5 million people. Their CD Four Leaf Clover hit No. 1 in the World Billboard Charts. Four Celtic Voices toured Albany, selling out the Egg Performing Arts Center and Chautauqua Amphitheater with an audience of 2,600, to standing ovations.  Celeste has 6 recordings. Celtic Blessings received rave reviews CD Reviews and Folkmagazine in Germany.  She performs vocally and on the harmonium, invented in Brittany. Celeste performed at Carnegie Hall, Government House of Queensland, Australia, and for Pete Seeger in NY. She toured from coast to coast and received NYSCA and NEA grants.
