Colleen Chanel is a native of California. She received her BA from the University of Santa Clara and her MBA from the College of Notre Dame. Colleen has performed, internationally, for over 25 years. She has been honored with numerous awards in music, multimedia entertainment, and in the International Metaphysical, Conscious Business and Humanitarian Communities. Ms. Chanel was a successful Stockbroker, Investment & Financial Strategist, Mutual Fund Manager and an Investment Analyst for a prestigious Commercial Real Estate Firm in San Francisco. After a life-altering car accident, Colleen pursued a musical career and made her debut at the Kuuwamba Jazz Center in Santa Cruz, California. Her first live album "Your Favorite Song" followed. She headlined in her own show The New Age of Continental, with a 15-Piece Orchestra at the Steinback Forum in Monterey, California, that was videotaped in front of a live audience. She will be collaborating on her 9th CD to be releases in September 2013 with producer, songwriter, and musical director Craig Brandwynne. In honor of her beloved, now transitioned, first Musical Director, Vern Bennett, Colleen is intentionally naming this Jazz CD Your Favorite Song - a collection inspired by the Great American Song Book with Chanel's styling of three songs in French, Italian, and Spanish. Also, a 2013 Christmas release is scheduled. Colleen's CDs are available on iTunes, CD Baby, and most major international online music stores.
