Patricia Martin was born in Kentucky, and raised and educated in New York. Patricia began her formal education as a singer at Fiorelli LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and later sang with the R&B band, Nature’s Gift at the Village Gate, on Good Morning America, in Boston, MA. She did studio work during that time. Patricia began composing songs in her early 20s but left it to pursue her education and career in the field of law. Patricia has recently returned to song writing and her compositions are a fusion of R&B, spoken word and funky tonk. In 2012, Patricia has led the band, Her Quest, in conjunction with her music partner bassist Brenda Alderman. Her Quest had their first listening party in November of 2012, with an audience of over 50 people. The response was positive and has encouraged Patricia to move the project forward.
