Dunia Rojas was born in the Dominican Republic and was exposed to the arts at a very young age. At 4, she came to the United States, where her mother put her in an arts school to keep her off the dangerous streets of New York. She was the only student in her graduating class to be accepted into New York’s LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts, where she honed her skills and was given the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. Dunia earned a Bachelor’s in Music Business. In New York, she performed at Café Wa, Village Underground, and at Madison Square Garden. Dunia was Music Director for two churches and led three choirs. In 2005, Dunia moved to Miami, where she received her Master’s in Music Pedagogy from the University of Central Florida. Dunia is involved in musical activities at St. Catherine Church, Charismatic Center and she performs at Scotty’s with Nightfall. She works at WDNA 88.9 FM
