Virtuosa Dotti Anita Taylor

Pianist/Flautist/Composer Dotti Anita Taylor is featured discussing her new CD "A Morning Glory". Taylor began studying piano at 3 ½ and made her professional debut at age 7. She attended Caputo Conservatory of Musical Arts and the Juilliard School of Music. Dotti studied flute later in life and performs on both instruments in the jazz and classical world. She plays piano with the Ray Abrams Big Band, conducts the Tonal Artistes Orchestra, is Musical Director of the NY Jazz Flutet and made her European debut in Frescati, Italy in 2003. She recorded with Ted Dunbar, Jason Lindner, Keisha St.Joan and Wendee Glick and, as a leader, released her debut CD, "A Morning Glory" in 2007. She performed with Mickey Tucker, Ray Drummond, Antonio Hart and many other jazz greats at the Blue Note, Sweet Basil and Body and Soul in Japan. She composed over 175 works and in 2007 was commissioned to write a composition for the Ravel Trio that premiered in Switzerland and in Rockville, Maryland in 2008.
