Keaton Simons plays music simply because he has to.
With an extensive palate including a degree in Ethnomusicology, Keaton's craving for a diverse musical adventure has pushed him into many different genres.
He's worked as a writer, musical director, singer, bassist and guitarist with notable acts like Gnarls Barkley, Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg and Tre Hardson of the L.A. alternative rap group The Pharcyde.
In addition, Keaton has found himself opening for Coldplay, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar and Train, writing with Jason Mraz and Hanson, and acting as the face of Advanced Guitar for the new Xbox game Rocksmith.
I will chat with Keaton about his life and career as we play cuts from his album, Can You Hear Me.
Then Robins Banks joins me.
Comfortable with Jazz, Classic R&B and Soul, even Reggae, she's also known for her bold and brassy, classy but sassy, Texas & Chicago electric Blues style.
She has 4 independently released CDs to her credit and makes regular tours to Europe and the Caribbean.
She is a recipient of a Maple Blues Award for New Artist of the Year and twice nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.
We will chat about her life and listen to her music.
THEN! Omar Kent Dykes joins me again, this time to preview the new Omar and The Howlers album, I'm Gone, which will drop the following day.
