Amanda’s new single, “We Were Here,” is an invitation to a coastline drive and an exuberant nod to her West coast roots. Growing up in Newport Beach, humming along to Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain on the radio, Amanda Lamb was entranced by the authenticity of country music. “The stories in these songs sounded real,” she says. When she began her personal musical journey, she recalls her grandmother making a perceptive suggestion. “She said, ‘Why aren't you singing country?’” Recording in Nashville, she realized that her Grandmother had been right. “Country Music feels more comfortable than anything I have ever done,” she says. “It feels like home.”

  • Rick Hromadka Interview

    in Music

A year in the making, this solo "pet" project has been handled with care. Channeling some of my DIY heroes like Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren, and even Prince, I play every instrument on this album - including drums. I took my time building this dinosaur from the ground up. First tracking drums, then bass, then keys, guitars, and whatever else I could get my hands on, and finally vocals. Much of the album was improvised as I began recording.

The Black Tibetans live to Rock and Rock to live. It’s as simple as that.  Formed in Los Angeles back in 2011, Dinst (guitar/ vocals), Tammi Tibetan (bass) and Ryan KH (drums) combine elements of old-school Rock N Roll, surf, and punk with their motorcycle-centric culture to create their own “Rock N Roll Party” sound.  Recently, the band teamed up with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys for their latest EP, The Nashville Session. Recorded in Nashville, the record is the band’s 3rd release, following their 2011 self-titled debut album and a 7-inch EP, “It’s Me / Away” recorded in 2013 at Rancho de la Luna with Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal, Queens of the Stone Age).
