Vladimir Frolov is an oils, pastels and acrylics painter in Ottawa. His most recent exhibition, Colour's Alchemy, was at Centerpointe Theatre in Ottawa.
Vladimir Frolov was born and educated in Russia. He resides in Ottawa since 1999. He holds a Master's Degree in Fine Arts and Teaching (MFA/M.Ed.) he had completed with distinction in 1984-1991 from Nizhny Tagil State Pedagogical Institute (university). He participated in many juried art exhibitions and has his art works collected by private collectors in Canada, USA, Germany and Russia. A few of his paintings are included in an art collection of The Kaliningrad (Kenigsberg) State Art Gallery (Russia).
I see art as a free spiritual experience that constantly has been changing and evolving. There is no certain judgment at the moment because the next moment brings new experience and adjustments to what you just have learned. My paintings are mostly based on emotions and structure energy of an object I paint. I see this energy as a combination of colors and textures.
The artwork has shown here are oil pastels. It is an attempt to find a balance between classical and modern style in understanding of an art object, an attempt to blend both styles in one art piece...
