    I'm finding it difficult to find the right words. I wish I could do this justice, as so many others have. I know my chain of events may be out of order as to their happenings.  I wanted to post something though.




    Dawn is breaking as people awaken and ready themselves for just another day. It's business as usual, for the nation, as the hustle and bustle begins to unfold. On this, a beautiful sunny September morn, all are unaware of what lies in wait for their destructive moment to play. Out of the skies flies a terror, un-announced; destruction it's goal. Into the twin towers it explodes...BANG! The first blow is struck, people still un-aware in the streets below. Could it be an earthquake? Could it have been an explosion?

    As they look to the skies, they begin to see. Again, not long after, BANG! Glass fragments outward from buildings in the street below as the next blow is struck and the plumes of smoke and debris rain down from the skies. The chaotic mayhem begins to run its course. The towers are collapsing and people are running through the streets in a panic trying to escape the terror which has be-fallen them.

    The skies darken on this day. Choking and gasping for air, people are becoming sorely aware-have we been attacked? The brave souls enter buildings to rescue the victims in the falling rubble. Some gave in to their demise. The once tall monuments are being reduced to nothing. The sky line is now empty except for the lingering plumes of debris and smoke. Everyone stands in disbelief and shock as the images are burnt into their minds. Falling fragments of letters, notes and paperwork from fallen victims inside slowly float to the ground below. Are we at war? Will there be another impact?

    The nation sits and watches in horror at the unfolding events on the news, on the radio, and calls from people near and far. They can do nothing but sit and watch helplessly. The Pentagon has been hit, another plane has been taken in Pennsylvania. Where else will this be?! How could such a plan be so organized with no warning at all?

    The President speaks on this unholy terror which has swept the nation in such a short amount of time. We must unite and be strong. We will not cower to the enemy which plagued us this very day. In the days to follow, the face of the nation will forever be changed. The aftermath we are left to pick up...there are no words. Every little piece has a story behind it. Every life forever changed.

    No memories of the horrid sights we wish to keep, although they will always remain. Instead, we wish to keep the memories of the nations peoples forever alive. We must not ever forget. All live on in our hearts and minds, whether here in person or in spirit. Never forget, never take anything for granted, never surrender. Stand tall, be proud, and forever chase the demons back to the hell from whence they came from. Time will slowly heal, but never fully comfort.

    As it was stated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on December 7, 1941, "a date which will live in infamy the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked..." It has again happened on this day, September 11, 2001. On this anniversary, let us all take a moment of silence to remember the heroes and the fallen.
