It is already hard enough being black in America, but through gay in the mix and it makes life even more difficult. Homophobia is steadily increasing, even with the progress that us gays are making with the new states making same-sex marriage legal. What's worse is when hatred is at your own front door. It seems as though the most homophobic are those in the black community; the black church going community at that. Not to say that all are homophobic, there are some black in the church that are supportive. However, it seems as though that more of them are totally against it.
