The Moorish Movement in North America stands as the foundation of Islam and Islamic nationalism in America, via its founder, Prophet Noble Drew Ali, who started his work in 1913 in Newark NJ. The movement reached its peak in 1928, with an estimated 70% of the African American population being involved in one way or another nationwide. From the years 1929-1936, the movement began to fragment, giving birth to other popular organizations and movements, such as the Nation of Islam, the Black Hebrews, and many others. Since the year 2000, America has seen a great interest and resurgence of the movement, but in its 70+, year dormancy there is much confusion as the exact direction of the organization and the original intent of its founder.

 There’s perhaps no other Moorish American Moslem that is living today that has done more for the whole of The Moorish Science Temple of America and The Moorish National and Divine Movement. Who worked longer hours and prayer harder as in keeping Prophet Drew Ali movement in the forefront and progressively active; than that of  Chief Minister Dr. Ra Saadi El –Muadi’B, with over 30 years as a faithful Member of the Moorish Science Temple of America. The original degrees of the “Divine Plan of the Age” as originally brought and taught by the Holy and Divine Prophet Ali himself, for Chief Minister’s literary works and his reformation has given much information, reviled greater knowledge and a truthful understanding of the philosophies and opinions of that of our Holy Prophet Drew Ali.

Chief Minister helped established several MSTA Temples from the ground up, presently he is  the Chief Member on the Grand Counsel of Governors and National Spokesman for the 1928 portion. He is well received, noted scholar and historian on the origin and original precepts of the Moorish Science Temple of America, Prophet Noble Drew Ali (its founder) and hence the foundation of Islamic Nationalism for African Americans. His tutelage and position in the movement follows a direct line of transmission traceable directly to Prophet Noble Drew Ali.

 The scholarship of Chief Minister Dr. Ra Saadi El is in great demand, and he has author numerous books and lecture on their topics at colleges, popular national radio and television talk shows as well as private settings. He is now presently the host of the only Moorish Islamic television show in the world which airs every week in Atlanta Georgia “Islam In America A Moorish Prospective”. This show has been deemed, as being unconventional when it comes to the teaching of the faith of Islam, for it is not under the cloak of Islamic cultural trappings, for many are not aware for the true Islamic faith and practices of those who are Moslems within the Moorish Science Temple of America. 

This Moorish Islamic show has embarked to extend the faith of Mohammed as taught by Prophet Drew Ali, which is of a Sufi concept of the faith of Islam. In addition, in bringing understanding to the realization of the importance of having a Nationality as being part of a Divine and Earthly salvation, his approach into shading light on the faith of Islam and the teachings of Prophet Ali has been viewed as, hard hitting, stern while making no apologies for telling the Truth.

 Chief Minister is responsible for the very first Moorish Islamic magazine named after the television show, he is the founder of Saadi El Publications which producers several Moorish Islamic magazines such as;” Sisters In Islam from a Moorish Perspective”, a prison magazine named “The Alchemy of Metal to Spirit”, a book of  Moorish Islamic proverbs “Voices of Islam”. He is the Founder, President and Chief Instructor of the first and only Moorish Islamic school of higher learning the “University of The Moorish Science Temple of America 1928”. His works extends to the  only Moorish Islamic formal based progressive Prison Ministry Program “Project Chance for Life”. Chief Minister Prison Ministry Program has been made standard in over a dozen Federal Correctional Institutions with close to a 100 inmates registered  to become students within the UMSTA correspondence course  spring of 2007. Chief Minister Dr. Ra Saadi El has a long line of continuous accomplishments along with his many years of steadfast dedications and true loyalty to The Moorish Movement in Uplifting Fallen Humanity here in America.
