Call in to speak with the host
This was a topic that was asked on Ask FM for me to address particularly on women searching for a father in men. It is dear to my heart because I can speak from experience on this topic. They say words are powerful, but I believe actions or lack of actions in the development of a woman are even more powerful. So many women especially in the African American community (my community) grow up without any example of a great man in their lives. Yes, they might have been told they are beautiful and all sorts by women, but when they grow older, how do they view the lack of love received from men? How do they learn the way men function and even how they communicate? How do they learn to love a man and receive love from a man? Of course there are women who grow up just fine, but many of us unfortunately exert the same patterns as girls/women due to the lack of strong father figures.
Why is this and what do we do now? How can we help especially the younger generation of girls growing up without these strong male figures?
