A Work in Progress - Episode 14

To God be the Glory!!! Welcome to Episode 14, I am so thankful for what the Lord is doing. His Word states that "without him" I can do nothing. Today we will begin with Acts 28:1-31, which completes the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. We shall continue on starting in 1 Corinthians. This book deals with Christian faith and conduct. It addresses problems that are prevalent within the Churches of today. By the Holy Ghost, Paul warns us in 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV) "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" which lines up with what Jesus states in Matthew 15:7-9 (KJV) "7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." Jesus' problems as well as Paul's problems were not with sinners, it was with the religious sects of their day. Ephesians 4:11-13 (KJV) states "11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:" There is only one Lord, one faith and one Baptism.
