    Interview Starts @ 9:15 p.m. The world’s first Super-Manny, Mike Ruggles, meets his match with a chaotic family of six from Colorado, on ABC’s “Supernanny,” when “Super-Manny Special: Griswold Family” airs on Friday, Dec. 4 @ 8 p.m. on ABC.

    Ruggles is a warm Chicagoan with over 17 years’ experience as a teacher and developmental therapist for children. He focuses on the specific challenges presented by this family. After an observation period, he kicks the parents out of the house and gives the kids a voice by using role-playing techniques to determine some of the root problems, as the parents watch from a monitor. In the Griswolds’ case, this provides a tearful comeuppance for Mom and Dad as Joe confesses his fear of his father and imitates his dad’s rages. In addition, Mike has some tough talk for Roberta about the continued effect of her negativity on the family and her marriage -- if things continue down this path, failure is assured.

    Super-Manny also creates an unforgettable interventional moment with Brianna, forcing her to confront the potential consequences of alcohol abuse by meeting survivors of car accidents that involved drinking and driving. Young Lauren weeps as Mike leaves the house later, in fear that her family will revert to their old habits. But Super-Manny has some powerful and innovative ways to break through to everyone including taking the whole family on a camping trip.

    It’s a Griswold Family Vacation unlike any other, and it will change their lives.

    Actress Lea Thompson, perhaps best known for starring in the NBC sitcom “Caroline in the City”Back to the Future movies, will be the guest host at "ACME this Week" at ACME Comedy Theatre, 135 North La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

    Here’s the Evelyn Wood version of Lea’s career, courtesy of IMDB.comm.: Her first role was in the movie Jaws 3-D (1983) as a water ski bunny, although she couldn't swim or ski, which she still can't! Her next role was in All the Right Moves (1983) where she acted opposite Tom Cruise.

    Lea's biggest known accomplishment, and her big break, came from the first Back to the Future (1985). It was the biggest hit of 1985, and Lea was suddenly the most wanted actress. Director Howard Deutch offered Lea a part in his movie, Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), but she refused. Lea went on to film Back to the Future Part II (1989 but then married Deutch and starred in Back to the Future Part III (1990.

    From 1995-99, Lea starred in the NBC-TV sitcom, “Caroline in the City,” the saga of a popular cartoonist with wacky friends.

    She stars in the “Jane Doe” mystery series on the Hallmark Channel and is in pre-production on three new movies for 2009, including: Prettyface, Rock Slyde and Splinterheads.

    This week on “Hell’s Kitchen,” Chef Gordon Ramsay wanted to make sure the chefs knew their beef, so he sent them on a field trip to a meat locker to learn various cuts of beef. Upon returning to Hell’s Kitchen, the teams were asked to put their newfound knowledge to the test. That night, Hell’s Kitchen was turned into a steak house and the teams raced to impress Chef Ramsay when 14 chefs compete on “Hell’s Kitchen” airing Thursdays at 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX.

    Following the elimination of Charlie, the third chef from the show, he will be my guest Friday morning on Mr. Media!

    Will new Fox TV star Monica Raymund ‘Lie to Me’? Mr. Media wonders out loud


    Monica Raymund is a St. Petersburg, Florida, native who is a co-star on Fox's newest crime drama, "Lie to Me." Also starring on the show are Tim Roth (The Incredible Hulk, Pulp Fiction) and Kelli Williams ("The Practice").

    The show features Raymund as a gifted natural interpreter of non-verbal cues. Her character, Ria Torres, is the newest member of the agency, and one of the few "naturals" in the field of deception detection. She has a raw, untrained ability to read people that makes her a force to be reckoned with.

    ‘Melrose Place’ star Thomas Calabro shakes up Mr. Media’s neighborhood!


    Though Thomas Calabro is most recognized as the evil doctor Michael Mancini on the hit series, "Melrose Place," this series role was bracketed by two others. In 1991, he played Joey "Camaro" in the short-lived, but critically acclaimed drama, "Dreamstreet" on NBC. In 2000, it was the title role in "Hard Knox", a syndicated series best described as "Moonlighting" meets "Rush Hour."

    Calabro's more recent television credits include starring roles in the movies, "Till Lies Do Us Part," "The Perfect Husband," "Sleep, Baby, Sleep," "Best Actress" and "Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus." His recent television guest spots include "Without A Trace," "Cold Case" and "Nip/Tuck.

    In the feature world, he's just finished shooting Locker 1" this year and previously completed three additional films: Detention, Safehouse and Total Eclipse. His performance in the horror film, Chill earned him best actor nomination at the Shocker International Film Festival.

    On the LA theatre scene, Calabro recently starred in the hit comedy It's Just Sex at the Zephry Theater. Previous to that, there was another comedy, Gravity Shoes at the Hudson Theater which also starred Richard Kind. Calabro also directed Thespians and Troglodytes at that same stage. His NY theater credits include the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Wild Blue, Sweet Basil and Open Admissions. He is a member of New York's Actor's Studio and Circle Repertory Lab.
