Precious film composer Mario Grigorov won’t need to sing for his supper!

Mario Grigorov, the composer behind the breakout hit and 2009 Sundance Audience and Grand Jury award winning Precious, recently returned to Sundance to celebrate a year of success.

Precious is racking up accolades including 5 Independent Spirit nominations and 2 Golden Globe nominations. This was the third time that Grigorov and Lee Daniels have worked together. Gigorov previously composed the scores for Daniels’ films Shadowboxer and Tennessee.

Among his many other film projects, Grigorov has contributed additional music for the score of Oscar-winning documentary Taxi to the Dark Side and developed the score for The Third Wave: A Volunteer Story about the tsunami, presented by Sean Penn and executive produced by Morgan Spurlock.
