International hip-hop star Emanuel Jal was a child soldier in Sudan who overcame the violence and fled after being forced to fight as young as 8 years old. Jal has a book, CD and documentary film about his life coming out and has also been nominated for an MTV award. The documentary won viewer’s choice at the Tribeca Film Festival; it premiers in New York the week of November 10th and after that will roll out in DC and LA. Joining Jal in the Mr. Media interview will be executive producer Dal LaMagna. www.warchildmovie.com
