If you don't know Mr. Markovich, that's OK, but you'll soon be hearing more about this Southern California businessman turned Community Leader. Scott Markovich is a Home Builder, by trade, and is passionate about the future of Sustainability, however, with strict legislation in California it seems almost impossible to get anything done by yourself...so true, Scott!...enter, Politics. Scott Markovich was successfully elected to the the local school board within his district, campaigning on a platform to bring renewable energy technology as a learning tool, while lowering operating costs. He successfully brought a bond measure to the ballot last year where it unanimously passed; soon to bring over $23million for safety renovations and energy efficiency improvements to the Rim of the World School District. Next step, a County Supervisor seat!

Sharon French from British Columbia is joining Mr. Wayne.
In Canada, water conservation isn't as important as water QUALITY. In fact, Canada has the largest natural supply of fresh drinking water in the world, so why do so many Canadians drink bottled water?
Join us as we explore the many facets, or faucets, of Canadian Cool, Clear, Water.

The Natural Gas Act will propel the U.S. toward Energy Independence, but how?
A growing debate, around one of the world's largest deposits of natural gas, is whether it's good for America to continue burning fossil fuels. The Pickens Plan supports it's use and many claim it will help to rid our reliance on foreign oil. Others claim it is not the answer.
Mr. Wayne believes both to be correct.
Utah State Leader, Jim Breitinger, with the Pickens Army is leading the charge in his state and will be reporting on the use of NG and bicycles. WHAT?
Should be a good show, especially if U.S. Senator Bennett joins the conversation!

Reese McClure is building, what he calls, "The Greenest Home in the Country."
Unfortunately, due to the economy and lack of funding, the McClure's have been spending more green to keep their dream home alive. It's now become their goal to turn the home into an educational facility and to teach others what goes into building a sustainable home.
Sustainability is the focus of the USGBC, and the local chapter is figuring out how to adjust to the tremendous growth in "going green". How can this growth be explained within this slumping economy?

Welcome to the inaugural show of Greening the IE, where we look at all the goings on in the Inland Empire of Southern California.
I'll be re-broadcasting segments of one of the first shows from August 2008, featuring Alex Stathis, owner of Mountain View Plant Growers. Although he's moved to Yucaipa from his original location in San Bernardino, Mountain View Plant Growers is still the best Greenhouse in the Inland Empire, specializing in indoor plants.
Heard of Sick Building Syndrome? Did you know plants give off an aura?
Indoor plants can really add life to your home, remove toxins and, provide that healthy indoor environment we seek, especially as the season draws near, where we close up our homes for the winter.
Although the focus is on the Inland Empire, many topics will be discussed in this Monday segment of The Green Revolution Show that are fun, exciting and interesting for the whole world! In addition, there will be local announcements, green events and all the goings-on in, and around, the southland that are making this area more sustainable.
...and, I'll be throwing in some surprises, as well, so please join in and listen to Greening the IE!

Water Conservation is everyone's responsibility!
State Senator Glenn Hegar will be discussing what Texans are doing to plan for the future and, when it comes to water, the Senator believes it is the duty of ALL Texans to conserve and find more efficient ways to use this precious resource.
Senator Hegar is a sixth generation Texan; farming the same land that has been in his family since the mid 1800's. He's passionate about the environment and conserving what God has given all of us to protect for future generations.
The youngest member of the Texas Senate, Glenn Hagar, from Katy Texas (just East of Houston) will be joining Mr. Wayne and talking about how southern cities rely so much on water from the north, similar to so many communities in America.
