Earth Day & Microwaved Food

Earth Day is soon upon us!

...and microwaved food is all around, so how are they connected?

40 some years ago, Environmentalism and High Tech came together as the microwave oven became more popular than the gas oven, and helped an entire planet become more energy conscientious, environmentally aware, and living like the Jetsons!

Every home in America seemed to have one of these modern day appliances, and most of us can't imagine life without one.

Now, fast forward to the 21st Century and we find that every recipe comes with an option to "nuke" our meals in minutes; saving, not only energy, but precious time... but have we destroyed our food in the process?

Are our children growing up eating veggies void of flavanoids, enzymes and broken molecules, or have we learned to correctly microwave our food; retaining the vitamins, minerals and other compounds that make vegetables what they are meant to be...good for us?

What's the answer?

The same, I guess, can be said about our planet. Are we using it to it's full potential? Or, have we ignored it, thinking that if we touch it, it may harm us, or worse, the planet will die!

Well, it was about the same time that microwave radio transmissions were being utilzed to communite around the world, that scientists began to recognize the earth was beginning to warm. Did they associate it with these high frequency electromagnetic waves blazing through our atmosphere? No, but some did, and we'll talk about this alternate "theory" to Global Warming, which is actually based on scientific evidence.
