Our third and final segment from the National Clean Energy Summit will recap the event and feature the majority of high level leaders discussing the transformation of our nation's energy infrastructure.
University Nevada Las Veges, host to the Summit, focused on the policy architecture necessary to create clean energy jobs and build a low-carbon economy in Nevada and Nation wide. The day was full of energy!
The Theme...JOBS and the NEW ECONOMY
Energy Secretary, Steven Chu spoke about America's second Industrial Revolution and how the U.S. can be a leader, but we must take action! Denise Bode from the AWEA says wind is ready to "rock and roll" and T. Boone Pickens' natural gas is here!
What we need now is legislation to enable the transmission of these renewables to "go to scale" and reach the citizens who are looking for clean energy...now. We can't wait for the price of oil to drop and go back to the way it was!
Moreover, we must make our buildings more Energy Efficient...it's the "low hanging fruit" solution that is otherwise demanding half of the energy used in the country, and 20% is WASTED!
Listen in, as we recap the morning discussion and see where our Energy Leaders are taking our country on this, The Green Revolution Show!
