    Date / Time:

What a Week! It was fun, but I'm kinda glad it's over!

Well, folks, it has been a long, exhausting week. I realize that I didn't have the hassle of going to the Twin Cities to cover the convention-although I would have liked to-it still was a tiring week. I can't begin to tell you how much free time I donate to investigating the stories I put up.

But, back to the genesis of this article. I spent many late nights and even more early mornings learning what I had missed when I wasn't able to be locked into the TV. You know, things like kids get in the way sometimes (kidding, of course). So I basically lived off a few winks and plenty of coffee last week.

And for what? I didn't really learn anything I didn't already know, save the Palin pick, of which I still am in a bit of a shock. Outside of that, I knew that Obama was the biggest liberal in the Senate, I know that he supported infanticide. I knew he wanted to sit down with Mahmoud I'monajihad all along. And I knew that Joe Biden was an pro-abortion candidate. However, I was surprised when I heard he wasn't on board with infanticide.

But off the national stage of the RNC, something big was taking place in a little town called Brooks, KY. Would you believe that an educated hillbilly was talking to the likes of Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), ONLY THE HIGHEST-RANKING MEMBER IN THE SENATE! And we agreed! We're both against abortion, we both like Anne Northup, (R-KY), and we both DISlike taxes.

Oh, and we both like Pres...ooops, Sen. McCain and vp candidate Sarah Palin. What a pair those two make. Something about the word Maverick just became very appealing to me (and I dare say probably 25 million other men as well.

What can I say? Run, Grand "Ole Party, Run! And we'll see you in the winner's circle!
