  Summertime = Family Time

  Summertime has to be my favorite seasons for the obvious reasons of beach, sun, fun, birthdays, and more importantly Family. It's that time of the year that the reunions, barbecues, weddings, and pool parties, bring the ones you love the most close to you. Those moments with family are to be cherished, protected, and promoted??????!!!! Seems like families have become big business for some major networks, but at what cost to the families? It is so pathetic to see small girls parading around in beauty contests, multiple birth children exploited, underage pregnant girls applauded, for the sake of promoting a show. Then there are the shows of the once famous mom or dad, that want to capitalize on the reality show syndrome, cause hey we are in a recession, so why not?!  This family exploitation is becoming more common, and resulting in more damage.
  I feel sorry for all these people, the shows may provide income, but the one thing that matters in life is jeopardized. I can only imagine the adverse effects these shows will have on family members that soon realize, having a camera in your face all the time is not healthy. More importantly when they go off, the dysfunctions within the clan will remain, if not magnified.

  Silence is not always GOLDEN

      The silence has been broken!!!! It is said that it is Golden, yet I believe it can be the cause for destruction. What is going on in the media with Michael Jackson, is proof that silence can hurt us more than help us. You have to let it out, give voice to the thoughts, and creation  to the ideas. Michael Jackson did that through his entertaining and philanthropy, yet he lived in a silence, that no one, but him can understand. Silence is loneliness that we put ourselves in by holding our true feelings within that cell of silence. Our true being held captive by the lack to speak your truth. Michael spoke the truth, we just couldn't here it because we let the silence he searched for make us curiously watch him, as if he were a rare animal in a zoo. He was a human being, like you, like me. If you keep to your silence, your true self may never be heard. 
      Our society has transformed into a silent society with tweets, status', postings, comments, links, and texts. No one talks to each other anymore, the communication has stalled in the land of silence. We are writing our history books in the form of OMG, keeping silent. I am gonna yell like MJ yelled, releasing the silence to sound so immense that the world will feel it.
