    MO'Talks Blog entry #1

As a long-time media personality here in Chicago, I always saw myself on mainstream media, reaching masses of people with information, news and entertainment.  But as i became more experienced in the industry, i realized that media was gearing more toward entertainment than real, action-oriented information.  So i stuck to the non traditional route.  I made my way on black talk radio.  through my show, i launched a youth movement by bringing young people to the talk radio forum.  I couldn't go back to mainstream because they want to own you, tell you what to say and what not to say...

So here i am on blog talk radio...and I love it.  No commercials, no propaganda...We're creating a global forum so that women around the world can have some say so in the midst of all this chaos.  MO'Talks is giving us a chance to speak truth to power on the real!

However, I am frustrated because we're becoming a society that doesn' really want information.  we don't like to be made to feel uncomfortable.  we don't like calls to action.  we'd rather watch "I love new york."

Or, maybe I'm wrong.  If so, tell me.  Do you REALLY want to be empowered?  Or do you want to be left the hell alone?  Do you want to feel compelled to improve this world, this body politic, your community or just yourself?  If not, then i'll quit doin this thing and go and make some REAL money for a change like everybody else.

If you do want change in this world, then I'll keep talking and helping you be the change you want to see...Let's do this.

    One,
    Mo~
