Stress can be overwhelming, and when not managed, stress can cause a great deal of unhappiness and dissatisfaction in life. So what causes stress? Unfortunately, just about anything could be a source of stress to somebody - financial troubles, natural catastrophes, marital problems, career and family responsibilities, etc. Although one person’s stressor may be very different from someone else’s, Dr. Susan Fletcher says there are three general categories of stressors: physical, social and emotional. Effectively managing stress, Dr. Fletcher says, starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life.
