Tax Season: Protect Your Pocketbook

As we get closer to April 15^th, the IRS is warning tax payers that tax scams will be on the rise. Every year phishers, scammers, and hackers take to the Internet and attempt to trick as many people as possible into forking over their hard-earned cash. On the next several episodes, Your Money Your Matters will discuss some of the more common tax scams, and offer tips on how to detect and avoid these scams.  

Your Money. Your Matters is a weekly show broadcasting every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon Central Time. The program features radio personalities Rick Grady and Linda Webb-Manon, Texas Credit Union League; Todd Mark, Consumer Credit Counseling Services, and Courtney Moran, Texas Credit Union Foundation. Each month, the four discuss financial issues of most importance to consumers.
