Balance is one of my favorite words in regards to parening. I use it several times a day, often when talking through decisions that we are faced with as mothers. The need for balance is constant. It comes in the form of daily responsibilities and sudden schedule changes, discipline needs, household needs. But it's not only about what we do. We have to balance the needs of our bodies and rest, fueling our hearts and minds and even that part of our spirit that is different and "other than" being a mother. That needs to be a part of our balance, too. A solid balance can be the key to getthing through our days and living well. For me, Balance is the difference between surviving and thriving and I want to THRIVE.
Our guest this week. Lisa Engle of OptiMom Coaching is a long time friend who has inspired me and countless others in this walk through life as a mother. Lisa has spent years encouraging and supporting mothers in finding their "utmost" as mothers and a healthy balance for their personal needs and that of their families. Lisa offers Wellness Coaching for mothers and has given me the chance to try this experience and present it to you. Last week I had my initial 1.5 hour consultation with Lisa over the phone to discuss the balance and needs in my life. This week, in a move of bizarre vulnerability ((gulp!)) , we will have our second session live over Momstinct Radio for listeners to see what wellness and lifestyle coaching is about, how it works and why it works.
