Cynematic and Kaoroli discuss President Obama's "Teddy Roosevelt" speech on the "make or break " moment for the American middle class in Kansas earlier this week, Nancy Pelosi's reassurances in the House that social safety net programs will be safe -- provided those of us who value them are willing to fight now and forever for them. We also talk about "hidden" (more like, forgotten) provisions of the Affordable Care Act that are helping people NOW: medical loss ratio rules setting a floor of 80-85% of every patient's dollar to be spent on health care as opposed to insurer "overhead," stopgap pre-existing condition coverage for those who didn't have insurance before exchanges come online in 2014 for us all, and insurance for young people under 26 if they can stay on their parents' plans.
