Disclaimer: This subject is not a generalization of ALL black women (as I am a black woman who doesn't adhere to the stereotype...)Instead, its a vehicle by which we'll discuss how some black women look at themselves and how it shadows on the black community. Historically black women have been strong, brave, sensitive, nurturing, loving, caring and shamelessly representing for their families... but the tides have changed, pitifully. I've been running into women who claim to be strong and independent but have nothing to show for it. What has happened in the black community for there to be such a low view of black women...and does some claiming to not "need a man" have anything to do with it? The rest of the show will be open discussion on the subject. I'll be taking calls so CALL IN GUYS!
