Jascat Bringing Some Sultry Philly Soul

At a time when the music industry is flooded with replicated acts Jascat emerges with a new distinct sound. This Philadelphia R&B/Soul singer is bringing an unparalleled soft, sultry sound to please the ears of true music fans. He has audiences talking and critics buzzing about his astounding combination of sound, style and spirit. Billboard Magazine says, “Jascat with a full band in tow, wowed the crowd with a blue-eyed soul sensibility.” His soulful sound, innovative style and charismatic character has attracted the attention of major producers and tastemakers in the industry. Jascat has spent the past year performing with his 10 piece band, writing, recording and preparing his debut titled LP, “Here We Go” released Fall 2007. He produced and arranged every track on the album and played most of the instruments. “The goal for the album is to try to get my music out there. It’s a whole different sound.” Jascat incorporated his style of music from the foundation of the 70’s-Grateful Dead to Al Green. “I’ve gathered everything I could from each one of those people and put it into my own style, the whole idea was to offer a fresh new sound and for people to take the passion that I have for my music seriously.” Jascat’s music can be described as “feel good soul music” that tells stories of love, life experiences, and happiness. It is sure to make hips sway and heads nod. The first single, “Here We Go” has gained early support spinning on radio shows and in the clubs. It also was a crowd favorite when Jascat performed it at numerous concerts, including The Hollywood Reporter TV, music and film conference and the Billboard Magazine R&B/Hip Hop conference plus openings for Babyface, Ne-yo, Bobby Valentino, Ray J, Ginuwine, 112, and Jagged Edge. Jascat has been crooning since the age of five and has spent his entire life immersed in singing and playing instruments such as guitar and piano. Growing up Jascat, was raised with the sounds of Philadelphia, Motown, blues, and funk.
