Welcome to a virtual meditation practice center. We practice mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Mindfulness is learning to be aware in the present moment and aware how we interact with what is going on in the present moment. This can be done in different ways and we practice three of them. On Tuesday we practice simply following our breathe as we sit and walk. Thursday we practice looking deeply, vipassana, learning to see different aspects of our life without judgement, which is done through a guided meditation time. Saturday is a day to practice as a community and we do different things. Some days the phone line is open and we have a conversation about a previous show or some other topic. There could be a guest speaker, a special ceremony, talk by Rev Marvin Brown, question and answer or what ever the community comes up with.
