    Readings From Whitefeather

The west and south in Arizona are pure desert.  Hot, dry, desolate looking.  But North...and East in the mountains there are places that are beautifully forested.  They are gorgeous.

While the Snow Birds (retirees) go south in the winter...the Sun Birds (retirees from AZ) go north into the mountains mostly.  Arizona is a place that is full of suprizes all over.

East of Tuscan about 75 miles there is a turn off to a little town called Sunsites.   During March when the spring rains appear....the 18 miles to the town on each side are covered with beautiful orange, blue, and white wildflowers.  You can even find gourds growing.  It is such a beautiful pathway.  The hills are all yellow and orange covered with California poppies.  The air is full of tiny white butterflies and the canyons are filled with loud buzzing of the Dragon flies.  The mocking birds come out and sing their beautiful songs...and if you are playing soft music...they will sing along with the music.  The rabbits and the grasshoppers are plentiful and come out to greet you each morning.

The desert that I thought was so desolate...can sometimes be such a place of natural beauty...I only had to see with the eyes of spirit to find the beauty....
