Choose the Right Tone and Accessories

It really takes the right attitude to wear a red dress confidently. If you love being the center of attention and are gifted with super self-confidence, then you probably already wear a lot of red. But for those of us who are not used to wearing it, wearing a red dress can be a nerve-racking experience; tiffany co jewelry  too much of it can make you look intimidating and the wrong shade can make you look washed out. So, here are some tips to give you the confidence to finally buy that red dress you have been eying.

Choose the Right Tone and Accessories

Red can look good against pale, black and in-between skin and it can look especially good on redheads. The first thing you need to take into account is which shade of red is best for your own skin tone. Some reds have blue undertones, some are warm and some are cool. Before buying your red dress, Event Dresses consult a color chart to get an idea of the best shade for you or simply try a variety of shades against your skin. If you have time, consider having your colors done by a professional.

It is important to team red with the right colors so choosing the right accessories is vital. A common mistake is to team a red dress with black, which only deadens the color. Silver, pewter or nude-colored shoes work better. Silver and gold jewelery both work well. It is not advisable to wear red with white. If you are planning to wear a red print, it's better if the print is mixed with pink or orange but not green.

The Cut and Style is Important

Bear in mind that a red dress is sexy in itself so when choosing the style of the dress, it's a good idea to go with a more modest style. There's no need for plunging necklines or for the dress to be skin tight. Make sure that the dress fits you well and that panty lines and cleavage are kept in check. It is best to stick with simple accessories so as not to take focus away from the dress. Cocktail Dresses Stick with sheer pantyhose as black or patterned hose with a red dress can look cheap. One statement piece of jewelery is probably enough.

    Don't Overdo the Makeup

It is tempting to wear makeup that matches the dress. But again simplicity is best. Only wear red lipstick if it absolutely matches the shade of the red dress. Otherwise go for a more neutral tone or a pale pink. The same could be said for nails. Natural shades of light brown, pale pink and flesh-tone are best for makeup.

Finally, the most important thing you need to remember is that wearing a red dress is an attitude. You should be wearing the dress; the dress shouldn't be wearing you. So stand tall, feel confident, make an entrance and smile. After all, you are the lady in red.
