We'll discuss current issues in modern "western" democratic nations and whether the current system can cope with these issues. Furthermore, we'll discuss alternatives for the institution that has become democracy. Clearly the system we have in place is made to keep all power in the hands of very few. I must emphasize "all power" wasn't used lightly and if I could be less rigid about the definition I'd say they're dominating over us. Thankfully, democracy isn't a rigid concept and is one that's open to interpretation. Feel free to call in with your opinion (largely based on fact).
